FIRST IMPRESSIONS
We live in a digital and virtual world. It's been this way for a while now. And thanks to the new Covid-norms of social distancing and masks, it's probably very rare that your future employer, or client, is going to meet you in person for the first time. They'll most likely google you, or look for your picture on a social media platform. If you're using the great shot your friend took of you on your fishing trip, or an instagram selfie as your profile picture, it's not really going to appear very professional.

Your headshot should show the world that you take yourself seriously, and you care about what you do. You’ve gone the extra mile to get a polished and professional photo taken. In this fast-paced digital world we are too busy to read more than a few words of a resume, or an “about me” section. This is your brief moment to present your BEST self. If you want to be treated like a professional, you must look like a professional.

Nothing says "I care about what I do" more than someone who has taken the extra steps to invest in themselves. If you don't care about yourself, why should anyone else? Your headshot will exude confidence in who you are and what you stand for. This will, in turn, present the same confidence in your professional capabilities. A professional headshot is an investment you will forever see the benefits from.

BRANDING
What do you want people to see when they look at you? What are you all about? If you’re trying to start your own business as a realtor, for example, a photo of you taken 7 years ago on a good hair day is not going to tell anyone that you work in real estate and you’re good at it! :) A professional headshot should showcase your style, your character, who you are and what you do - AKA your 'BRAND'.
