MY WHY

For me, it has always started with connection.

Over the years, I've learned that the most meaningful photographs aren't created through perfect posing — they're created when families forget about the camera and simply enjoy being together. That's why I fell in love with in-home photography. Every home tells a different story, and every family brings something beautifully unique to the experience.

I want families to see that they don't need a perfectly styled home, coordinated outfits, or a beautiful outdoor location to create photographs they will treasure. They don't need to recreate what they see on Instagram. The most meaningful backdrop is already theirs — the home where their children grow, where everyday moments unfold, and where their family's story is being written.

Connect & Capture began as a way to make those moments happen naturally. I created prompts that encourage play, conversation, imagination, and genuine connection, allowing children to lead while parents let go of the pressure to perform.

But the idea became something bigger.

I realized these cards could continue bringing families together long after the session ended — creating a reason to put away the screens, slow down, laugh together, and make memories worth preserving.

The cards are simply the tool. The real purpose is helping families recognize that the moments they will treasure most are often the ordinary ones happening right at home.



And if it helps even one family grow closer, or gives one mom a way to hold onto the fleeting magic of those childhood years, then every bit of it will have been worth it.
